Upcoming Academic Network File Share Changes for Students/Faculty P: and R: Drives
Please note that this DOES NOT impact any Administrative file shares or computers.
What changes are coming?
The College is decommissioning network file shares currently known as the P: Drive and R: Drive. Students and Faculty using Academic Computers should store files using their Google Drive Account.
When will access to the P and R drive be shutdown?
Friday, March 4th, 2016 - 5pm
Why are these changes being made?
We have found over the past few years that the utilization of local network file storage resources has dwindled as more students and faculty take advantage of Google Drive for file storage.
What actions do I need to take?
All users with files presently on the P or R drive should migrate files to their Google Drive.
How do I migrate my content to Google Drive?
User may wish to copy data from the P: drive to the their Google Drive. You can do so by following the Google Drive upload instructions in the knowledgebase section below. Migration will not be possible after March 4th at 5pm.

Files continue to be accessible indefinitely. Access is not dependent on being an active student.
Are there any files that will not be impacted?
Graphics Arts students who use the OS X operating system will continue to have access to storage on our Apple OSX servers for assignments due to certain program requirements.
